Zinc
mineralAlso known as: Zinc picolinate, Zinc gluconate, Zinc citrate
About
Zinc is a trace mineral that serves as a cofactor for over 300 enzymes, including those critical for DNA and RNA synthesis in rapidly dividing hair follicle cells. Zinc deficiency is associated with telogen effluvium and diffuse alopecia, though evidence for supplementation in zinc-replete individuals remains limited.
How It Works
Cofactor for >300 enzymes including those in DNA/RNA synthesis; critical for hair follicle cell proliferation.
