Observational Study

A study that observes outcomes without intervening or assigning treatments.

An observational study collects data on exposures and outcomes without manipulating variables or assigning treatments. Researchers observe participants' natural supplement use patterns and correlate them with health outcomes. Types include cross-sectional, case-control, and cohort studies. While observational studies cannot prove causation, they provide evidence about real-world supplement use patterns, long-term effects, and population-level associations.
